How We Can Help
Care Team & Visit Support
HypermobileDr.com provides team-supported care for people with hypermobility, HSD, hEDS, and EDS. Within the ZIP Care System™, patients may receive support from Dr. Kerri, Health Coaching, Mental/Emotional Support, Nutrition and Health Support, Registered Dietitian involvement when needed, and referral coordination.Dr. Kerri's Role
Dr. Kerri L. Jones, NMD, provides clinical leadership, naturopathic medical visits, interpretation, testing guidance, supplement and treatment recommendations, care direction, referral recommendations, and complex decision-making. Dr. Kerri helps connect the larger health picture and determine what next steps may be appropriate within the scope of practice.
How Education Fits into Care
Education is woven through the ZIP Care System™ so patients can better understand their bodies, recognize patterns, prepare for visits, and participate more confidently in care. Rather than receiving disconnected pieces of information, patients learn how symptoms, body systems, daily experiences, and health patterns may relate to one another. This growing understanding helps patients ask better questions, communicate more clearly with their care team, and make informed choices as they move through each stage of the ZIP Care System™.
Specialty Testing and Referral Coordination
When appropriate, Dr. Kerri may recommend specialty testing, DNA/genetic testing, supplement review, labs, or referral to outside specialists. These services are an additional cost, not included in any Programs. Testing and referrals are based on individual need and are not automatically required for every patient.
Health Coaching Support
Health Coaches help patients stay connected to the process. Support may include preparing for visits, following through with next steps, pacing, noticing patterns, setting realistic goals, and making the care pathway more manageable in daily life.
Mental and Emotional Support
Mental and Emotional Support helps patients navigate overwhelm, stress, nervous-system regulation, neurodivergence-related needs, medical trauma, emotional fatigue, and the burden of living with complex symptoms. This support does not replace emergency mental health care or specialty therapy when those are needed.
Nutrition and Health Support
Nutrition and Health Support may help with appetite changes, food tolerance, hydration, meal rhythm, GI-related eating barriers, food-pattern concerns, and disrupted eating patterns. This role supports practical nutrition concerns while helping identify when more advanced nutrition care may be needed.
Registered Dietitian Support When Needed
A Registered Dietitian may be involved for more complex nutrition concerns, such as disordered eating, eating disorders, enteral feeding, significant nutrition risk, complex GI/nutrition patterns, or cases needing higher-level nutrition management.
Movement, Activity, and Referral Guidance
Many hypermobile patients need movement guidance that respects instability, pain, fatigue, nervous-system sensitivity, and injury risk. HypermobileDr.com may provide education around pacing, activity modification, body awareness, and appropriate referral to physical therapy, pelvic floor therapy, occupational therapy, or other specialists when needed.
Additional Education and Resources
Dr. Kerri and the team may provide additional education, videos, resources, handouts, classes, or low-cost learning opportunities on topics relevant to hypermobility, EDS, nervous-system regulation, nutrition, pain, pacing, and whole-person care.
Coordination With Other Health Professionals
Many hypermobile patients need a multidisciplinary care team. When appropriate, HypermobileDr.com may recommend referral to or coordination with primary care, cardiology, gastroenterology, pain management, physical therapy, pelvic floor therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, dermatology, pulmonology, mental health professionals, registered dietitians, and other specialists based on patient need.
